WELLINGTON, New Zealand -- AWE has re-started production from the Pateke-3H in New Zealand’s offshore Taranaki basin.

Initial attempts to re-start the well were delayed due to technical issues arising from a workover operation.

Pateke-3H well is currently flowing at over 4,000 b/d with some `flush’ production. Later, output should subside to the longer-term forecast of around 3,000 b/d.

All four production wells in the Tui fields are now in service.
