READING, UK – BG Group has updated its FPSO status and plans for Tupi and Guará fields in the Santos basin offshore Brazil.
The first of two FPSOs for Tupi is in operation with a capacity of 100,000 b/d of oil and 177 MMcf/d of gas. The second Tupi FPSO is scheduled to go onstream in 2013 with a capacity of 120,000 b/d and 177 MMcf/d.
An FPSO similar to the second one scheduled for Tupi is expected to be deployed to Guará, also in 2013.
All of the leased FPSOs will link production to the Petrobras Mexilhão platform for piping to shore.
BG says the two fields are expected to product a total of 2.2 Bboe through 40 production and injection wells. The Tupi concession ends in 2037 and the Guará concession ends in 2039.
