FREDERICIA, Denmark -- Production has resumed from the Siri field, says operator DONG Energy. The company halted production in August 2009, following a routine inspection that revealed cracks in a subsea structure connected to the oil storage tank underneath the Siri platform.

A temporary solution involving a metal frame that supports the subsea structure is now in place ensuring the stability of the construction. A permanent repair is expected to be finalized in second half of the year.
