HOUSTON -- Oil production has begun from the unitized CFD 11-6/CFD 12-15 project in Bohai Bay, China.

Anadarko Petroleum Corp. said yesterday it expects to have 10 wells producing some 15,000 b/d of oil by the end of the month. Continued development drilling is expected to bring production to 22,000 b/d of oil from 22 wells by mid-2007.

The project, in 75 ft of water, consists of a gathering platform, two unmanned satellite platforms, and a 13 km tieback to theHai Yang Shi You 112 FPSO.

Anadarko is operator with a 29.18% interest. CNOOC Ltd. has 51%, Newfield Exploration Co. has 12%, and Ultra Petroleum Corp. has 7.82%.
