STOCKHOLM, Sweden --The Shah Deniz development in the Caspian Sea has come onstream, according to Statoil ASA.
In the Azerbaijan sector, Shah Deniz is one of the largest gas fields in the world. According to operator BP, Shah Deniz will reach maximum production of 9 bcm (318 bcf) of gas per year in 2009.
