TAQA takes BP's Dutch interests

AMSTERDAM, The Netherlands -- Abu Dhabi National Energy Co (TAQA) is buying BP's Dutch offshore and onshore production assets. These achieved total gross production of 140MMcf/d of gas during 2005 (62MMcf/d net to BP).

TAQA says its first priority will be the existing personnel, comprising 85 staff and 35 long-term contractors. The package also includes the Piek Gas Installatie storage facility onshore in Alkmaar.
