SINGAPORE -- Shell Malaysia starts natural gas delivery from E8 field offshore Sarawak state on Borneo.
Operated by Sarawak Shell Berhad, E8 is a component of the E11 hub integrated gas project. Under this project, gas from surrounding fields goes to the E11 complex for processing before being piped ashore to the Petronas LNG complex at Bintulu.
E8 is one of five fields developed to supply the LNG plant. The others are E11, F23, F5, and F13. Shell Malaysia with 50% stake in the field is the operator while Petronas Carigali, is the remainder 50% percent partner.
Over the next three years, F13 West and F13 East hubs are expected to come onstream.
