BERKSHIRE, UK -- South Morecambe gas field restarted ahead of schedule, says Centrica Plc.

During an extended summer maintenance period, Centrica performed remedial work on four cooler units in additino to regularly scheduled maintenance.

The cooler units are of similar design to those involved in a fire on Rough platform early this year.
