CALGARY --Cirrus Energy has issued positive results from an engineering reserves evaluation of its L11-13 appraisal well in the Dutch North Sea.

The well, since re-titled L11b-A06, was drilled directionally from the L8-D field. According to GLJ Petroleum Consultants, data from this and the discovery well, 5.9 km (3.67 mi) to the north, suggest that the whole L8-D structure is gas charged with a common gas-water content, and in-place gas of 323 bcf.

A first phase of development will focus on the southern end of the field, via a re-entry of the L11b-A06 well. This should drain a single fault-bounded compartment with best estimate reserves of 41.1 bcf.
