FREDERICIA, Denmark -- During an annual planned inspection on the Siri installation offshore Brazil, DONG Energy observed minor cracks in a water tank connected to the oil storage tank below the platform.

The company shut down production from the Siri, Stine, Nini, and Cecilie fields while further investigation was ongoing and emptied the oil storage tank to eliminate the risk of oil spill. The company confirms that no oil spill occurred.

Investigations are ongoing and the company is unsure of when production will be restarted.
