Production begins from deepwater Raton well

NEW ORLEANS -- Production has begun from the Raton well, a deepwater Gulf of Mexico gas discovery in Mississippi Canyon block 248, according to Energy Partners Ltd. The Raton well has been ramped up to a gross current rate of 32 MMcf/d and 440 b/d of condensate.

EPL owns a 33% working interest in the well.
