MANAMA TOWN, Bahrain -- The Galoc field is back onstream following reconnection of its mooring and riser system to the FPSO Rubicon Intrepid. Tropical Storm NANGKA (Feria) caused the original disconnection in late June. Following the incident, the field’s riser sustained damage that required replacement of a 30-m (98-ft) section.
Operator Galoc Production Co. expects throughput to stabilize at pre-shut down levels of 11,000 b/d of oil after initial flush production.
