ABERDEEN, UK –Dana Petroleum has achieved first oil from the Van Ghent well in Dutch North Sea block P11b.

Van Ghent, 60 km northwest of The Hague, is part of the Dana-operated Medway Phase 1 development. Oil from the trilateral well – a first for the Dutch sector, Dana says - flows to the De Ruyter platform.

Production should build this year to 4,000 boe/d, with further volumes added when the Van Nes well comes onstream in April.
