STAVANGER, Norway --Gamma Main Statfjord production at Oseberg field in the North Sea has begun at 13,000 b/d of oil.
StatoilHydro says Gamma Main is one of several small discoveries in the Oseberg area to go onstream this year and next.
An injection well has started drilling in anticipation of reservoir support over the expected 15-year life of the production.
