RIO DE JANEIRO– In June, Petrobras achieved a new record for oil and gas production of 2.90 MMboe/d, beating its previous record of 2.88 MMboe/d established last August.
Of the total, 2.70 MMboe/d came from fields in Brazil.
The 2.20 MMb/d of oil the company produced in Brazil also represents its third highest average monthly output to date.
Growth was mainly due to the start-up of new wells connected to the FPSOsCidade de Maricá and Cidade de ItaguaÃserving the Lula field in the Lula Alto and Iracema areas, respectively.
Presalt oil and natural gas output operated by Petrobras increased 8% from the total for May, setting a new monthly record of 1.24 MMboe/d.
