DOHA, Qatar – Qatar Petroleum (QP) and Dolphin Energy have entered into a new long-term gas sales and purchase agreement.
QP will supply additional quantities of gas for delivery to customers in the UAE via the existing 48-in. subsea pipeline that serves the Dolphin gas project.
The extra quantities will be allocated to SEWA and RAKGAS LLC using the UAE Eastern Gas Distribution Network.
Dolphin began supplying the UAE in 2007. Last year it upgraded its compression facilities, installing three new export gas compressors at its gas processing plant in Ras Laffan to match the export pipeline’s capacity of 3.2 bcf/d.
