LONDON – Chariot and Vivo Energy have entered into an agreement to form a midstream joint venture to oversee delivery of natural gas to industrial users in Morocco.

One of the aims is to establish a long-term gas sales arrangement for some of the future production from Chariot’s Anchois field development offshore western Morocco.

Vivo is a pan-African retailer and distributor of fuels and lubricants, operating more than 400 service stations in Morocco and serving commercial and industrial clients in various sectors.

The partnership would aim to develop a gas marketing and commercialization process as well as create a jointly owned special purpose vehicle for the purchase, transportation and distribution of natural gas.

Chariot CEO Adonis Pouroulis said the agreement “expands upon our other existing sales negotiations around future offtakes for the gas from the Anchois gas field.”
