SANDNES, Norway – Vår Energi has awarded ChampionX Norge a five-year contract to provide production specialty chemicals and management services to all its assets on the Norwegian continental shelf.
This involves continued delivery of a range of asset integrity, phase separation, flow assurance and enhanced oil recovery chemical technologies. Vår Energi is an established user of ChampionX’s Emulsion Viscosity Reducer, said to help increase recovery in existing wells by up to 30%.
The new contract includes options for two one-year extensions.
