Yumna field liquids handling capacity doubled

MUSCAT, Oman – Masirah Oil has completed an upgrade of the process facilities serving the Yumna oil field in block 50 offshore Oman.

The liquid handling capacity on the mobile offshore production unit has more than doubled to 30,000 b/d, with the field testing steadily over the past week at rates of 20,000 b/d.

Output has now been choked back in line with the reservoir management plan, which is designed to maximize recovery from the field.
