THE HAGUE, the Netherlands – Tulip Oil has reduced gas production from its Q10-A field in the Dutch North Sea due to currently low gas prices.

During 2Q, the field produced a total of 119 MMcm, down from 198 MMcm in 1Q.

Present output is around 1 MMcm/d.

Tulip has calibrated the reservoir models and is engaged in preparations for two more future Q10 wells.

The company continues to mature further new drilling targets, mainly to appraise reservoirs near the producing Q10-A field. These targeted reservoirs have been drilled historically and flowed gas to surface.

At the same time, the company is acting to increase production capacity substantially through activating existing third-party compression facilities.

The spare production capacity is being managed in conjunction with the gas price outlook.

Q10-A came onstream in February 2019 via a remotely operated platform with gas exported through a 42.5-km (26.4-mi) pipeline to the P15D platform.
