    Unity to maintain Spirit’s North Sea wellhead systems

    Spirit Energy has awarded Unity a three-year contract to maintain wellhead equipment on 12 platforms in the East Irish Sea, UK southern North Sea, and the Dutch North Sea.

    Offshore staff

    ABERDEEN, UK – Spirit Energy has awarded Unity a three-year contract to maintain wellhead equipment on 12 platforms in the East Irish Sea, UK southern North Sea, and the Dutch North Sea. 

    Unity will provide surface wellhead and xmas tree maintenance for around 100 offshore wells, and equipment testing, repair, refurbishment, and storage from its base in Great Yarmouth on the English east coast.

    The contract carries two additional two-year extension options. 

    Currently Unity is developing lightweight additive manufactured wellhead components at its base in Aberdeen to strengthen its maintenance and spare parts offering. The company plans to offer these to clients with reduced cost and lead times.
