PERTH, AustraliaTap Oil has issued an update on operations at the Manora oil field in the G1/48 concession in the Gulf of Thailand, operated by Mubadala Petroleum.

Production in the latter part of last year rose to 5,417 b/d, due to new well performance, with the MNA-24H well - completed in the 300 sands - producing at a steady rate without water influx.

In January, workovers to replace electric submersible pumps were completed in four wells, with anther to follow later in the year.

Last year’s MNA-22 development well could not be completed owing to problems with the cement bond. However, petrophysical interpretation of well logs show a total oil net pay of 56.5 m (185 ft) in the 490-60 and 500 sands, so the well could be drilled as part of this year’s campaign.
