SANDNES, NorwayVår Energi awarded three-year frame agreements to Apply Sørco and Aker Solutions covering modifications and maintenance support for the oil company’s operated assets in the Norwegian sector.

These relate to operation, maintenance, modification and engineering services, and carry options for two-year extensions.

The agreements remain subject to additional competition between the contractors for a further defined scope in order to determine the main provider. According to Vår, this should lead to the most advantageous solution in terms of minimized HSE and technical/commercial risks.

One of Vår’s stated goals is to create local industrial ripple effects with its projects, particularly for those in the Barents Sea off northern Norway.
