LYSAKER, Norway --Nemo Engineering has contracted to supply two hot-tap valve modules for Ormen Lange Southern field development.

Hydro awarded the NOK 65-million ($11-million) contract for equipment to be used on remote operations at hot-tap tees already installed on the 30-in (76-cm) production pipelines to Nyhamna.

Installation is scheduled for 1Q 2009 in a depth of 850 m (2,789 ft). The Southern field consists of one template, two flowlines tied back to the hot tap locations, one umbilical, and one MEG line tied back to the existing Template A.

Ormen Lange licensees are Hydro (operator in the development phase), 18.0728%; Petoro AS, 36.4750%; A/S Norske Shell,17.0375%; Statoil ASA, 10.8441%; DONG Norge AS, 10.3420%; and, ExxonMobil Exploration and Production Norway AS,. 7.2286%
