Wellstream to deliver risers for Peregrino project

An affiliate of Hydro and Anadarko has awarded a $36 million contract to Wellstream International Ltd.

Newcastle, UK -- An affiliate of Hydro and Anadarko has awarded a $36 million contract to Wellstream International Ltd. The contract calls for supply of twelve 11.5-in. (292-mm) ID flexible risers for the Peregrino project offshore Brazil.
The risers will connect subsea pipelines to two wellhead platforms and an FPSO in 125 m (410 ft) of water. Delivery is scheduled for 2Q 2009.
"With the award of Peregrino, Wellstream will have supplied all of the non-Petrobras flexible pipe projects in Brazil to date," says Gordon Chapman, Wellstream CEO.
