GEORGETOWN, Cayman Islands –Subsea 7 has signed a four-year agreement with Canyon Offshore Inc. for offshore trenching services.
The i-Trench program includes a Canyon Offshore newbuild multi-purpose vessel, new purpose-built tracked mechanical cutting trencher, jet trencher, and two permanently installed ROVs.
Canyon Offshore has commissioned the i-Trencher with Subsea 7's input to the design and. It is a state-of-the-art hard soils trencher (+500kPa) with cutting and eduction technology capable of pre-trenching, trenching, and backfilling umbilicals and flowlines up to 18 in (46 cm) in diameter.
