BJ completes pipeline pre-commissioning in India

ABERDEEN, UK -- BJ Process and Pipeline Services (BJ PPS) has completed a contract to provide specialized pipeline services to Global Offshore International, the main contractor to BG Exploration and Production India.
BJ PPS supplied pre-commissioning services for the NRPOD pipeline system in Tapti field. The field is 160 km (99 mi) northwest of Mumbai and consists of 363,500 acres (1,471 sq km), containing the South and Mid Tapti gas fields.
BJ PPS provided flooding, hydrotesting, caliper survey, gauging, dewatering, vacuum drying, and nitrogen purging of the infield line and an export line. In addition, a piggy-back instrument air line was pre-commissioned.
Operations commenced in May and were completed as planned in late summer 2007. BJ PPS personnel supported the contract from its Middle East region headquarters in Dubai, and its two operations bases in Mumbai and Baroda, India.
