DOHA, Qatar -- Al Shaheen Energy Services and GE Oil & Gas have signed two oil and gas service partnership agreements.

Under the first agreement, Al Shaheen becomes a 50% joint venture partner in GE Oil & Gas’ PII Pipeline Solutions business. PII, which will continue to provide pipeline inspection and integrity services to its existing customers, also will establish a dedicated Integrity and Inspection Center in Qatar to support operators throughout the Middle East.

The other agreement has led to a new 50-50 joint venture in Qatar, the Al Shaheen GE Services Co. This partnership, which includes GE’s existing Services Center in Qatar, will provide a wider range of turbine, compressor and related auxiliary equipment services, also nurturing technology transfer and the development of local talent.
