Chevron contracts Clough Sea Trucks JV for Gorgon pipeline work

Chevron Australia has signed an A$300 million ($295.7 million) contract with the Clough Sea Trucks Joint Venture for work on the Gorgon project.

PERTH, Australia – Chevron Australia has signed an A$300 million ($295.7 million) contract with the Clough Sea Trucks Joint Venture for work on the Gorgon project. The work involves the transportation and installation of 90 km (56 mi) of 20-in (51-cm) pipeline, both offshore and onshore, from Barrow Island to the Dampier Bunbury Natural Gas Pipeline.
Engineering and procurement start immediately with site work expected to start and finish in 2012.
Clough will carry out project management and installation engineering (including HSE, quality, and quarantine management). Clough’s derrick pipelay barge, Java Constructor, will be used for pipeline installation together with Clough’s shallow water laybarge, Clough Challenge.
