PERTH, Western Australia -- PT NuTech Dinamika Semesta has contracted Clough for pipelay and subsea installations for the East Udang development project in the Indonesian Natuna Sea.
Clough will deploy its pipelay barge Java Constructor to support installation of six pipelines, each around 3.5 km (2.2 mi) long, three hydraulic control umbilicals, and associated tie-ins and risers from the wellhead to the Udang Alpha platform.
Offshore installations should start in August and will last at least 35 days, with options for an extension.
East Udang, in water depths of around 100 m (328 ft), is operated by TAC Pertamina – PT Pertalahan Arnebatara Natuna (PT PAN).
