ABERDEEN, UK -- BP has re-engaged Wood Group for engineering, modifications and maintenance services to its Sullom Voe Terminal (SVT) on the main Shetland island off northern Scotland.

According to Wood Group, this will secure employment for around 100 personnel in Shetland, Glasgow, and Aberdeen. The three-year contract, with two one-year extension options, is valued at around $38.3 million.

Currently the company is designing and installing a major upgrade to the gas processing plant at SVT which should be completed later this year. The refurbishment will replace the 25-year old gas processing plant with a slimmed-down model designed to improve efficiency.
