Offshore staff
CARLYSS, Louisiana -- A contract has been awarded by British Gas Exploration and Production India Ltd. to Global Offshore International Ltd. for the transportation, installation, and pre-commissioning of a pipeline to develop Mid Tapti field offshore India, 160 km northwest of Mumbai.
The pipeline will be one 20-in. by 80 km long for gas export and one 20-in. by 22 km long infield pipeline with 4-in. piggyback instrument air line. Also included are associated pipeline end manifolds and risers, and pipe burial. The water depths involved are 15-40 m.
Pipelay barge mobilization is scheduled for December 2006 for the $87-million, 11-month long contract.
