Acergy to link ConocoPhillips Norwegian platforms with new pipeline

OSLO, Norway -- ConocoPhillips has contracted Acergy for a new oil transportation pipeline between its Ekofisk and Eldfisk platforms in the North Sea. The $60 million (£32.5 million) contract involves installation and tie-ins of a 9.4 km (5.87 mi), 24-in. pipeline.
The winterizedAcergy Piper should already be under way with the installation, with the Acergy Osprey handling tie-ins next summer. Acergy is also scheduled to perform pipelay on the Tyrihans field in the Norwegian Sea for Statoil during spring 2007.
