Sabine Pass LNG terminal opens

The Sabine Pass LNG terminal has opened in Cameron Parish, Louisiana, following a cool-down and test using the LNG vessel Celestine River.

HOUSTON --The Sabine Pass LNG terminal has opened in Cameron Parish, Louisiana, following a cool-down and test using the LNG vessel Celestine River.

Phase 1 of the start-up has 2.6 Bcf/d send-out and 10 Bcf sgtorage capacities. At the end of Phase 2 in 2009, the terminal is designed to have 4 Bcf/d send-out capacity and 16.8 Bcf of storage, according to Cheniere Energy Partners LP, the owner.
