HOUSTON -- Mustang Engineering's Perth office is providing a conceptual study for offshore facilities' options for the Greater Sunrise gas development in the Timor Sea, north of Australia.
Mustang is studying options including piping gas to ConocoPhillips' Wickham Point LNG facility in Darwin, Northern Territory, or piping gas to a Timor-Leste based onshore LNG plant.
The development includes the Sunrise and Troubadour fields, located about 450 km (280 mi) north of Darwin and 150 km (93 mi) south of Timor-Leste. These fields were discovered in the mid-1970s.
The Sunrise gas development project is a joint venture between the operator, Woodside, ConocoPhillips STL Pty Ltd., Shell Development Pty Ltd. and Osaka Gas Australia Pty Ltd.
