Enterprise completes High Island System repairs

    Enterprise Products Partners has completed repairs on the High Island Offshore System (HIOS) pipeline that was severed during Hurricane Ike in September 2008.

    HOUSTON -- Enterprise Products Partners has completed repairs on the High Island Offshore System (HIOS) pipeline that was severed during Hurricane Ike in September 2008. Federal regulators, after approving Enterprise's inspection and start-up procedures, authorized the partnership to resume full service on HIOS. The pipeline has the capacity to transport up to 1.8 bcf/d of natural gas.
