Petrobras contracts Espirito Santo pipeline

Petrobras has awarded a $200-million contract to Subsea 7 for design, engineering, procurement, fabrication, and installation of the 78-km (48-mi) long, 12-in (30.5-cm) diameter export gas pipeline and end termination assembly in Jubarte field offshore Espirito Santo basin, Brazil.

GEORGE TOWN, Cayman Islands – Petrobras has awarded a $200-million contract to Subsea 7 for design, engineering, procurement, fabrication, and installation of the 78-km (48-mi) long, 12-in (30.5-cm) diameter export gas pipeline and end termination assembly in Jubarte field offshore Espirito Santo basin, Brazil.

The contract also covers a shore approach and pre-commissioning of the pipeline which eventually will connect the P-57 FPSO to onshore Anchieta. The project is scheduled to begin in 2009 and to be completed in 2010.

Both the engineering and fabrication are scheduled to be done at Subsea 7 facilities in Brazil.
