Offshore staff
TEHRAN -- Pars Oil and Gas Co. has completed the offshore pipelay for the South Pars Phase XII development, according to Iranian news service Shana.
The latest part of the program involved installing three lines, A, B, and C, with respective lengths of 149, 140, and 150 km (92/87/93 mi). Tie-ins will follow to the Phase XII platforms and onshore gas processing plants.
Project manager Rasoul Fallahnejad told Shana that the cost of laying three 32-in. (81-cm) and three 4-in. (10-cm) pipelines was around $900 million.
Overall, he added, the offshore program was 75% complete, with two rigs engaged in development drilling close to the A and C platforms. First production from this phase is scheduled for May 2012.
