CNOOC reports another Bohai Bay leak

HONG KONG – CNOOC Ltd. reports an oil sheen in Bohai Bay near the Jinzhou 9-3 oil field. The company says an investigation indicates it is coming from a subsea pipeline damaged by a work vessel.
CNOOC shut down operations at the Jinzhou 9-03 Platform B and dispatched divers to survey the damage and repair the leak while cleaning the oil on the surface.
A series of spills have been recorded recently in Bohai Bay.
