Statoil (OSE:STL) has contracted Kongsberg Oil & Gas Technologies (KOGT) to supply subsea structures, in-line tees, and tie-in and connection systems for the Polarled gas pipeline in the Norwegian Sea.

STAVANGER, Norway – Statoil (OSE:STL) has contracted Kongsberg Oil & Gas Technologies (KOGT) to supply subsea structures, in-line tees, and tie-in and connection systems for the Polarled gas pipeline in the Norwegian Sea.
The 480-km (298-mi) line will transport gas from theAasta Hansteen field to the Nyhamna processing facility in Møre and Romsdal County, also facilitating development of other fields in the Norwegian Sea.
Additionally, it will feature a branch pipeline to the Statoil-operatedKristin field. KOGT’s $64-million order includes structures and tie-ins for that branch. The project will last for more than three years.
