Bill Calver

Engineering Manager

Bill has over 20 years experience in the field of computational fluid dynamics and heat transfer. His experience ranges from transient flow analyses involving mesh motion, transient thermo-fluid analyses of convection- and buoyancy-driven flows, environmental simulations involving defogging and demisting to physiological modeling and mold flow analyses. He has worked in the Oil & Gas industry on such programs as Big Dog and Big Foot, performing large- and small-scale simulations involving vortex-induced fluid-structure interaction. Mr. Calver has also worked on many projects in the fields of Automotive, Wind Energy, Medical and others. He also has extensive experience integrating CAD and CAE together in the design process. Prior to joining Altair, Mr. Calver has worked as an independent engineering consultant and also at Ford Motor Company and Visteon Corporation in their respective Thermal Management and Climate Control Divisions. He has a BS in Aerospace from Syracuse University in Syracuse, NY and an MS in Aerospace from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, MI.
