The Petroleum Safety Authority Norway (PSA) has granted Esso Norge AS consent for exploration drilling of well 16/1-7, 220 km west of Stavanger, with the mobile drilling unitDeepsea Delta.

Well 16/1-7 is located on production license 001B, with Esso Norge as operator and Statoil as partner.

Planned start-up is in May. The activity will last 40 to 75 days.
