Saipem wins subsea development tie back contract for the offshore Angola Rosa field.
TEPA (Total Exploration & Production Angola) has awarded Saipem, an Eni company, a lump sum turnkey contract for the SURF activities (subsea umbilicals, risers, and flow lines) for the subsea development of Rosa field as a tie back to theGirassol FPSO, in the block 17,200 km northwest of Luanda, offshore Angola.
The block 17(1) contract has a total value of $440 million.
The scope of work comprises the engineering, procurement, construction, installation, and pre-commissioning of the SURF in water depth of 1,400 m.
The vessels Saipem 3000 and Saibos FDS will carry out the job in 1Q-3Q 2006.
Total's partners in the block are Esso Exploration Angola (block 17) Ltd., BP Exploration (Angola) Ltd., Statoil Angola block 17 AS, and Norsk Hydro, and Sociedade Nacional de Combustíveis de Angola (Sonangol) is the block 17 concessionaire.
