Pioneer has first production from Harrier field

Pioneer Natural Resources Co.'s Harrier field in the western deepwater Gulf of Mexico has begun producing. The company developed the discovery well as a single-well subsea tie-back to Pioneer's Falcon field facilities and is producing 120 MMcf/d and 300 b/d of condensate.

Pioneer Natural Resources Co.'s Harrier field in the western deepwater Gulf of Mexico has begun producing. The company developed the discovery well as a single-well subsea tie-back to Pioneer's Falcon field facilities and is producing 120 MMcf/d and 300 b/d of condensate.

Harrier is 100 mi east of Corpus Christi in 4,100 ft of water in East Breaks block 759. Harrier is producing into a 47-mi flowline through the Falcon manifold back to the Falcon Nest platform on the Gulf of Mexico shelf. GulfTerra Energy Partners owns and operates the Falcon Nest platform.

The development team will complete the tie-in of the company's two other Falcon corridor satellite discoveries, Tomahawk and Raptor, next.

Pioneer operates the Harrier and Falcon fields with a 100% working interest.
