Cavendish platform loaded out

Completed six-slot platform heading for Cavendish field in UK southern North Sea

Offshore staff

(Theddlethorpe, UK) The platform for RWE Dea's first operated development in the UK sector, Cavendish, was recently loaded onto a barge at a Heerema fabrication yard in The Netherlands. The six well-slot, minimum facilities structure will be located in southern gas basin block 43/19a.

Produced gas will be treated initially at the platform, then pumped through a new 45-km long, 10-in. pipeline connecting to the Caister Murdoch trunkline system, landing eventually at the gas terminal in Theddlethorpe on England's east coast. First gas from Cavendish is expected this fall.
