(Aberdeen) The UK Department of Trade and Industry has approved EnCore Oil's acquisition of six North Sea blocks from Petro-Canada UK. Encore will operate five of the blocks – the other is operated by Venture Production. All are all located in the central sector, and contain numerous undeveloped finds and exploration prospects.
