Eni has offered $902 million for a stake in Angola's offshore block 15.

Eni has offered $902 million for a stake in Angola's offshore block 15, says state-run Jornal de Angola.

The offer topped the next-best proposal by Sinopec of $750 million as bids for the country's offshore blocks resumed on April 10.

Angola currently pumps 1.3 MMb/d. It aims to increase production to 2 MMb/d by 2008.

The concession is currently operated by ExxonMobil and Sonangol.
