(UK) Norwegian independent DNO announces that drilling is under way on the Jaguar prospect in the UK Northern North Sea. Well 211/22b-5, drilled by the semisubmersibleBredford Dolphin, is targeting a stratigraphic trap, with potential reserves of 138 MM bbl. Planned total depth for the well is 4,000 m.

Jaguar lies north-east of the Cormorant North oil field, in license P1067. DNO is contributing 92.5% of the well costs, following a farm-in agreement with Elixir Petroleum.
