(Stavanger) Statoil has signed a memorandum of understanding with Prosafe to charter the flotelSafe Scandinavia. It would be used initially for four months, starting spring 2007, to assist upgrading work on the Snorre A platform in the Norwegian North Sea.

In summer 2008, the flotel would move to Sleipner B for six months, mainly for use in connection with the Sleipner West compression project. The contract has a total value of around $52 m.
