(Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk) Sakhalin Energy has completed laying of offshore pipelines linked to the Piltun field, and with it all pipelay installations associated with the Sakhalin II Phase 2 project.

The latest campaign involved dredging, installation and backfill works on four separate pipelines; laying of one oil and one gas pipeline from Chaivo beach on mainland Sakhalin to the newly installed Piltun-B platform; and one oil and one gas line also from Chaivo Beach to the existing Molikpaq (Piltun-A) platform. Total length of these lines is over 230-km.

Shortly, divers will conduct final tie-ins between the pipelines and the platforms, followed by hydrotesting of the lines.
